All people are natural-born sellers. It's just that not everyone realizes it. Let's say for example you and your spouse just spent a romantic evening at a new restaurant in town that was absolutely fabulous. The scenery was beautiful; the waiter treated you like a king and queen. The food was delicious, fast and very affordable. Now picture yourself with a friend or two and someone mentions the new restaurant. Are going to simply say, "Oh, we had dinner there last evening." Or are you going to say "Oh, we had dinner last evening and it was fabulous! The scenery was beautiful; the waiter treated us like a king and queen. The food was delicious, fast and very affordable. You should check it out!" Of course you're going to go with the second response. Who wouldn't?

So why is it that as soon as we go into sales we automatically feel as though we can't recommend the products we sell. Why is it that we tend to feel guilty because we're going to make a profit off of it? So in other words if this same fabulous restaurant starts offering discounts for referrals you're going to stop telling your friends about it? I highly doubt it.

There's a huge misconception in direct sales being that you think you're 'imposing' on your friends, family or just a customer in general. As long as you feel as though you're imposing...you are. You need to love your product and feel as though you are offering a service. You are filling a need.
